As-Salaam ’Alaikum brother,

Excessive wet dreams are not something to be too concerned about. Many adolescents experience these dreams as a way to release hormonal enhancements which are taking place as your body prepares itself to become a full sexual adult. As time passes and you get older, your sexual drive will naturally diminish, in sha’Allah.

Generally, for males, one should expect that sexual charge will be high until the thirties; however, it depends on the individual and their biology. You may have high levels of testosterone than the average young man, which means you will naturally produce more semen and it will be released more frequently on its own through dreams.

One mercy of wet dreams is that Allah has created this process of biological release during sleep and usually in private as opposed to releasing occurring at any time of the day. This would be quite embarrassing and more shameful. Thus, at least, it is contained in your bedroom and dreams.

As far as your parents are concerned, I am sure they will understand what you are going through as they have gone through this phase themselves. In fact, it is probably a good idea to get their guidance on and discuss biological changes you are going through. This is not something to be ashamed of. It is necessary for your parents to have these discussions with you in order to have a healthy and balanced understanding of puberty and sexuality. Otherwise, you will learn from friends and online which is very dangerous.

Lastly, you should not be concerned that they may assume you are watching pornography if you have nothing to hide. As I said above, if you have a discussion about puberty, they will understand and have the facts they need to not assume such things. If you are watching pornography, then I recommend you get an internet ban installed on your server so that such sites cannot be entered. I would also consider fasting and/or exercising. Fasting will increase your taqwah and decrease your sexual energy while exercise will help you release energy and direct your testosterone into building your body in a healthy way.

May Allah protect and guide you, amin.
