Q I think I may have committed shirk. Can I be forgiven?

Dr. Shabir Ally: Well, to begin with, when we do repent, we are guaranteed that God will forgive us so long as our repentance is sincere.

And sincere repentance means we stop doing the wrong thing. We express our regret to God.

And we repair whatever wrong we have done to anyone else.

And we follow up with a good deed. So, start doing good deeds and leave off whatever you thought was questionable or bordering on shirk or associated partners with God.
