Any Audio Recitations of Quran for The Blind?

23 February, 2017
Q I would like to study the Glorious Qur'an. However, I am blind. Are there any versions in English and Arabic online in audio? Could you explain naats or nasheeds? I heard a nice song, very fast and chanting. What are their significance?

Answer

Asalamu Alaikum Aaron,

Thank you for contacting About Islam with your question.

Allah says what can be translated as

{And We have indeed made the Quran easy to understand and remember: then is there any that will receive admonition?} (Al-Qamar 54:17)

So, studying the Quran is not hard and Allah will make it easy for you by His will.

What follows are some links that you might find useful, in sha’ Allah

The Ultimate Miracle: These are lectures about the miraculous nature of Quran, including its scientific facts and proofs. It is by the famous Muslim da`i (one who invites to Islam) Ahmed Deedat.

As for the nasheeds, these are songs that are pretty much concerned with praising Allah and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).

They tackle many issues like celebrating marriages and promoting good deeds. The word originally means songs of a kind of enthusiastic and motivating nature. I would recommend the following links or search for a particular artist:
